Beyond Cheese Movie Review: "The Brotherhood of Satan" (1971)

(You can see this monstrosity for free on Crackle: The Brotherhood of Satan)
A family travels through the desert to a remote town to celebrate Grandma's birthday.  The town is under the control of a bunch of senior citizens who belong to a satanic cult, their main thrust being to abduct the children with the hope of inhabiting their souls.  Oddly enough, the cast includes Alvy Moore, who is best known for being the half-witted county agent in the Green Acres TV series.

Everything-but-the-kitchen-sink effects, bizarre music blends, psychotropic psychosexual rituals, and more--The Devil is in the details. Early in, look for the rain scene and you can imagine the hoses on each side.  Foreshadowing is also demonstrated:  as the (then) happy family drives across the city limits, the radio station fades, then is replaced by accordion music.  But who would know this meant geriatric cultists await?

Cheese Level: 8.978, and that's only because you have to allow for others.

Enjoy, and keep rockin' on Satan with the mad cheese.
